With the large aperture of f/1.8, the RF50mm f/1.8 STM is able to create a soft blurred background and foreground for better subject separation.
With only 30cm minimum focusing distance, you can get closer to your subject for up to 0.25x magnification.
Images produced by the RF50mm f/1.8 STM are sharp to the corners. The RF mount have allowed an improved lens design that incorporates the aspherical lens elements that improves lens aberration, resulting in high quality images.
